EG4-6000ex inverter just started constant loud humming after overload condition

Been running for about four months. Today the inverter was a bit overloaded and shut off due to overload protection. Upon restarting, the inverter started making a loud constant transformer humming noice when it starts inverting, even without any load. Other than the humming, it seems to run normally. I emailed support but they tend to be extremely slow to respond.
We are completely off grid and i am worried running it in this condition. Thoughts?

To be honest that does not sound good.
I would get ahead of the problem and get an alternate power source in place to tide you over while you do an RMA before it dies on you.

Any resolution for this? I have the exact same problem overload than buzzing, transformer, flickering lights.
