Equal length battery connections, double landed buss bars

I disagree. The lug should be in contact with the terminal. The bolt head should have a lock washer and then flat washer up against the lug and on the nut side, a flat washer up against the terminal. Try to use stainless steel. torque correctly. Then torque again after 1-2 minutes as copper tends to relax. if possible, maybe coat the connection with Kopr Kote if concerned about battery acid at the poles in the future.

This talks about a nut as well as a bolt.
Sure, if you put a bolt through a lug and a busbar, you can sandwich the electrical parts with washers on both sides.

Just never put a washer or a nut between electrical parts. We've seen pictures of them glowing red hot.

The drawings presented showed a battery as having the female thread. No nut, so washers only go on bolt head side.

Okey dokey

What was written later didn’t coordinate what was written earlier.
Little bit of nomenclature confusion, through-bolted versus bolted-to, and a bad description.

No matter as long as nobody burns a house down tonight - they got a clear picture ✅ of how to do it above.

The illustration is a nice effort, but it does not include the bolt going through the battery terminal and a washer and nut being screwed onto the threaded part of the bolt. Otherwise, yea!

One last thing: In all cases try to use stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers. They will last indefinitely.

Bolt shown as vertical, threaded into battery terminal.

The SunXtender and FullRiver batteries I have are like that. The LiFePO4 cells we've seen used for DIY also had threaded terminals.
Others have a vertical tab with horizontal hole, so a nut would be used as you say.
