I have a Growatt MIN-5000-TL-X inverter with a wifi USB as well for remote monitoring.
I use this data for changing the charge rate on my EV.

I would really like to add the ability to monitor the load used from the grid so I can make sure the excess solar is going towards the EV.

I see Ithe inverter supports a single Phase Metre (with CT on the mains supply) connected to the Invertor by RS485 but I notice the plug has a CT input as well that would be simpler to get the load used by the grid.

Does anyone know can I directly connect a CT to monitor the grid power or is there more advantages using the meter rs485 connection that has a CT?
The manual doesn't go into any detail.

Also I don't have a connector plug for the comms port into the inverter, I have searched everywhere. Anyone have the part number of the 8 pin plug to plug into this so I can source this?

Thank you
