potable water clear hose

I need some 1 inch inside diameter, clear hose ,about 4 ft. It must be strong but ok for house drinking water...there are many options online but its unclear if your getting food grade which I need... any ideas or info on this??

Anything that is rated as "Potable" or "Food Grade" is good to go. Vinyl is usually fine, or the white Potable garden/RV hose. Tygon and Silicone are also good options.

One problem with clear - if it's outside / in the path of sunlight and holds standing water for a length of time, algae can grow.

AFAIK, there is no clear PEX

has to be bendable.. but HD actually has some semi clear that is reinforced..any algae will get swept away every time the pressure switch trips..thanks

White pex can let sun light thru (and over time UV can damage it). I use white pex as part of my rainharvest system and it's painted to block sun (algae) and UV. Only (a little bit) important if water will be left in the line for a while (few months) with sunlight hitting it
