1g vs 1/0g wire

AWG numbers get smaller as wire size and ampacity increase until /0 size is reached. Then each number increase also increases ampacity.
After 4/0 wire size switches to kcmills and the more the larger...

I'm running a string of 750Kcmill feeders next week... not looking forward to it.

What’s the difference between 1g and 1/0g wire??
In simple terms (hey, I am a newbie and just learned this) 1/0 gauge is actually size 0 wire, 2/0 gauge is actually 00 size wire. Hope this helps. I love learning and Will has opened a whole new world. I'm working on solar for my RV (and hey, I'm an old lady). Go, Will Prowse! Love ya, kid! Yes, you are never too old to learn. (My degrees are in other areas, so it doesn't matter. There was no solar when I was younger but if I could live my life again, this is the field I would definitely get into!)
