.1 In % on that capacity NO . 2 No, it can not. When does the ir change? Simple: over time with age degradation. Side note what applies for all li chem cells, the have there own life span, used or unused! Ir will rise quicker when you use the cell. Ir will rise faster when abuse. If you have a...
  • Post in thread: 123 Smart BMS

Yes, i totally agree. The Czech, Polish, Bulgarian and ect people from the Slavic corner, most of them have difficulties to speak or write English: Due to two reasons, English is/was not mandatory at schools, Russian was. And due to there own language (writing and pronunciation) it is very...
  • Post in thread: Underground water line insulation

Professional insulator here: Buy 4 or 5 inch thick xps closed foam sheets, better if the wallet is allowing it--->go for 8 inch. cut the sheets lengthwise in squire blocks, if your sheets are 4 inch thick make your cuts 6 inch wide. Take a long wood drill bit and drill two holes, the center of...
  • Post in thread: BMS with multiple battery modules - How many and how to connect.

From my experience it would be better to keep it at one single bms system. If one of many bms will fail, the rest will follow shortly, auwa that was a 10kv spark in the wallet. Lets say every bms can handle 200a and you have a surge of 205a 3 seconds, the weakest one will give up. All the...
  • Post in thread: Cell internal resistance (what does it mean)

The more a cell is (ab)used the higher the ir is going to be, always check ir charts before buying, if your cells arrive with a higher ir than fabric advised ir---> then the cells are used or very old(age degeneration) return them immediately, ask no questions. With every cycle a cells has done...

  • Post in thread: Water filter preference

What is your source of water? It would be advisable to start filtering from 22um than to 5 then to 3. For strong polluted water or the risk of Bactria or viruses you could go to 0.8 For disinfection you could use uvc b and c, but ozone or almagaan would be a better choose, they will only burn...

  • Post in thread: Building a 280ah 48v prismatic bank: help me choose a BMS please

@hammick, Yes you will need a bms. If you need a balancer(active or passive) then it would be wise to check the health of your cells or manually connect in parallel balance them. A balancer is a welcome device, yes, but it must not run/work much. My two cents. Best Igor
  • Post in thread: $2948 for (32) (280aH)(New) LiFePO4

My vision/thoughts on/about the lifepo4 cells from China(btw i dont think bad of them! and i dont want to speak negative about them!) If a cell is unused lets take a 100ah cell no matter what chemestry. It has a left over of 100ah: rated new unused. If a used cell test for example 97ah from the...

  • Post in thread: Cheep easy way to insulate a shipping containers

Insulation can be very cheap or really expensive, it all depends on how much you want to save on your heating bill. Also very important noise reduction and air closed. I insulated my house with 3 layers. Inner layer: rockwool 3 inch, for noise reduction and more stable temperature. layer in...
  • Post in thread: Cheep easy way to insulate a shipping containers

btw Concrete will harden no matter what, except below -7c It also depends on the chemistry and composition of the concrete it self. In general the more time it needs to set the harder it gets. For your container house a "b rate class c" will be more then enough. Sorry to hear about youre...

My busbars are 300mm2 (*1,2A 360A rated) The fuse per pack is 100A 48v dc rated. The inverter has a 300A 48v dc rated fuse. Those green yellow cables are 25mm2 So far so good? The cables on the inverter are 3 times 16mm2, yes those are way to thin, when the inverter is going in full...
