Yes this is the trouble and you find a solution....you did it perfect by your self and with a little Arduino! Bigger tester? get a amp/h meter and a electric room heater or water boiler, at 12 24 or 48V(even 96 if you want), do your calculations and you are home free, you manage, i am sure.
