    Assuming it's a 16 cell battery, bulk at 54v, 3.375 volts per cell, is perhaps too low to fully charge, ( unless there is a very long absorption period), thus the battery is still taking power under float volts, 3.281 volts per cell. My bad, it seems it could be a 15 cell battery.

    Current limit is poor on these units, will fold back or fail. This is only under reversed polarity of the solar input, not under correct connection conditions. Suggest you install a 24v Victron Blue Smart IP 65 charger direct on the battery. A better engineering solution.
