Has anyone come across this previously? I’ve downloaded the battery monitor software, uploaded the right profile and logged in using the admin log in.
First thing I notice is that the diagram at the top doesn’t seem to look right
I also only get this screen with all the data for about a...
I know this is something that my electrician will probably be able to assist with but I’m really keen to get my head around it before he comes over.
5.5kw Sunsynk Hubrid inverter and 15kw Seplos Mason 280 box are being fitted in the garage.
Feed from home consumer unit to garage is a 2.5mm...
Thank you :)
I’ve managed to change it to 280 using the IPhone app :) the battery has charged and discharged fully a couple of times so I’m not sure why it didn’t adjust automatically.
The iPhone app was much easier to use and connected via Bluetooth quickly.
The SLD I need to update. Am I correct in assuming that’s the line drawing I submitted? Am I also correct that I just need to make a note on it to show that the export to the grid is going to be limited to 3kw?
I won’t really be exporting so I’m ok with restricting it although I think it’s a...
At the moment there is a small garage board in the garage but also an RCD for the garage on the house consumer unit hence why I think it goes back there.
It will be much easier if it goes back to the meter and is connected via a Henley block. Just wasn’t sure if that would allow me to be able...
I gave National Grid a quick call today and had a chat with them about my proposed set up. They’ve sent me the G99 A1-1 form to complete.
On first look it doesn’t look too painful. I’ve been trying to find some examples of completed G99 applications on various forums without much luck so far...
So I’m back again with some questions. The main one being ‘have I managed to break something’!
So the story starts yesterday morning when I needed to charge the car using the granny cable (in a socket in the main garage board, wired into the house CU).
I didn’t want to drain the battery so I...
Actually, I’m not sure mine is listed on there which is a bit of a worry.
The box states that it’s a SUNSYNK-5K-SG01LP1.EU. but the nearest one to that appears to be the SG03 that you linked to.
Does anyone know if they are different?
Finally got my Seplos Mason and Sunsynk Inverter set up. Been a long road due to DNO delays :(
I do have one question though. The SOC is set on the inverter and currently set to 100% charge. Should this be adjusted to 95% or is it fine to leave at 100%?
Think I read that the recommended is a...
Yep, made it fairly clear but got the very short and sharp response.
This is what I said but I’m trying to not get an argument with her but it does seem wrong.
I’m asking quite a lot of questions at the moment so apologies for that.
My battery capacity is only showing as 200.00 Ah. Should this not be higher? I thought it would be 280. Also thought the BMS would auto detect this.
Battery has only been charged a couple of times so far so wondered if...
Hi
Just a quick question on fuse / isolator requirements for my Seplos setup. Below is a basic line drawing of what I’m planning to set up.
I’m not sure if I need anything else between the battery and the inverter. I have an isolator which sits on the live connection as per below. This was...
Hi all
Just looking for a bit of advice around extending my CT cable on a DIY battery only installation.
I’ve had to run armoured cable from the meter box under some patio slabs (path) and then into the garage. I’ve run shielded cat5 alongside it as I was advised not to bury the CT cable...
I watched off grid garage but didn’t find it very clear with the washers. The instructions linked to on the Fogstar site also don’t make it clear.
I think you can probably see from the conversation on here that it’s not overly clear.
Ok, so I purchased the Mason kit, inverter and the AC / DC isolators from a company based in the UK. I’m wondering if I need to go back to them and suggest that the DC isolator isn’t the correct one.
I thought I had got my head around the DIY install quite well but I’m not so sure now :(
No idea :( I’m completely confused now so not sure what I need. I’ve got the sparky coming over later in the week so it may be a case of speaking to him about it.
I’ve had a look at a few forums and it doesn’t seem possible to extract the existing stud. Most people seem to file it down to the top of the terminal and then drill it out.
I was hoping it was screwed in and could be unscrewed easily but that doesn’t seem to be the case :(
Did you get your G99 application over to your dno? I’m just trying to work out if I can go down the G98 route with export limited to 3.68kwh. I don’t plan to export anything at all so not worried about it being limited.
Do you think that would meet the requirements. I’ve just added a note on the inverter. They’ve accepted the diagram but just want it updated with the restriction.
Just reviving this as I’ve got an issue with tightening the battery cell bus bars on the Seplos Mason.
I used the forum and decided to tighten the battery terminal nuts to 4nm. First one I’ve tried has snapped off so I’ve stopped and not going to try any others yet. How easy is it to replace a...
You’re absolutely right. I’ve just gone out to the garage again and I can hear the faintest click. It’s definitely user error :(
So I don’t think I have the tools to replace the terminal from the quick search I did on YouTube. Wondering if it’s going to be a case of ordering a new cell.
Afternoon everyone.
I’ve used the forum quite a bit for reference without previously joining, however I’ve now bought a Seplos Mason kit and and I’m currently mid way through the build.
The lack of instructions has made it a bit of a challenge but it’s all pretty straight forward.
I have come...
I’ve had a response on my G99. Can I just check that the limit would be on the export to the grid? I know that the household usage is regularly around 5kw so keen to ensure I can draw that much from the battery. I really don’t want to export anything at all.
