My HPWH is in the laundry room with the inverters so they have a mutually beneficial relationship. Sometimes in summer I just start running hot water to help cool that room down maybe a week or so in winter will it actually get cold in there.

I can tell you the amount of heat generated in my laundry room where it is located is significantly lower than before with the 6500's.

At any point did you have both connected to the pv at the same time? By that I mean paralleling the one pv to both inverters.

I found with AC power in on it doesn’t drop out of standby time like all other inputs. Only way I’ve ever been able to make them stick. My 2p2 loses all its settings on power downs so I’ve gotten pretty good at resetting it.

Too late already took the upgrade so no warranty anymore they are just back ups now and I know how to work around. I should have rma’d it first but impatience got me first. I may eventually send it in for repair but for now it’s okay.

I miss my SA I am unable to use it now with my 18kpv due to the using the cellular dongle so really hoping for a future hard wire option. I am slowly learning to deal with the slow refresh rate, SA just spoiled me to seeing what was actually going on not just a periodic snapshot.

I took the upgrade offer on the 18kpv and mounted it opposite my meter and i am leaving the 6500's in place as "backup".

From not having my monitoring software working for about a week while unit was running ive noticed the info at the top is based on what the inverter has seen and the graphs are from what the monitor has recorded. So if your monitor wasn't connected at some point the info could be slightly different.

Just out of curiosity how do you have your pv wired to and from the imo disconnect. A pv short can short out the dc bus and cause batteries to trip also. I learned this the hard way myself.

Anyone had luck connecting their dongle to an iPad hotspot. It’s my only option currently looks like may have to get cellular one as I’m not having any luck. I can connect locally to the dongle so I assume that means it works fully.

I will let others help you further diagnose but I am fairly certain you shorted the DC bus by paralleling the PV . I only say that because in my beginner stupidity I did the same.

My discharge is set at 250 shortly after that it was pulling 10kw from the batteries then about an hour later after pv was done it went back to grid and never again pulled from battery I went out and killed grid breaker and made it discharge till midnight to get it down for charging back today...

You are going to see some export more so on the screen than what it actually is doing its more of a net zero export than a true zero which is pretty much impossible. The only way to do it as posted above is off grid mode.

Can you connect to the dongle thru Wi-Fi first before going into the app. When I had my Wi-Fi dongle I never could get it to connect to Wi-Fi but I always could connect to it locally. I have the cellular one now so that's not an option anymore.
