I wouldn't hesitate to shop at Signature Solar but buy in-person and don't buy anything electronic without them bench-testing it to your satisfaction. If they won't, try Arizona Wind and Solar. They, at least, are reputable even with online customers. Just call ahead to verify that they have...
It's not very obvious to people who think inside the box but your learner system shouldn't exist. There's far too much info out there proving that simplicity is built right into new products. Just don't let marketing catch you up in making your system more complex than it has to be. You should...
The automotive industry should be interested too. They make city cars too complicated and expensive for their purpose and if anything can reduce a carbon footprint, this can. The cost for the drivetrain is $2800 not counting shipping.
I really don't care what people have to say about the need for new charging methods. I intend to build a daily commuter car for my 10-mile round-trip for work. It'll have dual 48-volt banks that get connected in series when the car is powered up. I'll charge it from my home battery bank and each...
Bottom line, Signature Solar will get you into solar production in a very cost-effective way. Online Engagement Specialist is to Refuse Reconciliation Specialist as PR Damage Control is to Trash Collector. Lower your expectations if you can't shop in-person or deal with someone with a...
Wow, I just have 3 racks of 16 batteries each hooked to a pair of terminal block buses and those hooked to an AOI inverter with a midpoint transformer as the load and a couple three-way-split power cords running of the transformer to extension cords for each location. My 16 solar panels are ran...
Each BMS will be 32s. I intend to use two of the same BMS that I would use for a 48-volt LiFePo4 battery. My home battery system is Lead-Acid and, when either or both of the 48-volt banks is switched to the charging position, it will disable the ignition switch and each car battery bank will...
I put the deposit down on a conversation kit with a 144 volt motor and controller. I chose this because it's still divisible by 48 and can hit 55 mph in a 4000 pound truck with it's 500 pound payload. The kit is rated 18 Kw with a peak of 42 Kw. The cost is just under $4800 shipped to my house...
I neither intend on fully charge them nor deeply discharge them. I understand that this may have a dramatic effect on my usable range because I read that the SoC curve isn't much of a curve but practically linear.
If this is true, there may be no point in trying to use them for anything but a...
Interesting. I bought 32 ReneSola 370-watt mono panels, a 5000ES and a midpoint transformer from them. All were new and all worked perfectly. I've even abused the 5000ES and midpoint transformer some moving it around and having it outdoors under a tarp. Half of my panels are just laying on top...
I agree with this. Businesses should have escrow accounts to deal with differences between accounts payable and receivable. Any company that takes your money prior to shipping the product from their facility to you is borrowing your money and should pay interest. I never order anything until I...
Ultimately, you are responsible for the service you get from companies these days if you decide to do business with a American company remotely. They are in Sulphur Springs, TX. I am in Durant, OK. If you think I'm going to order anything from them again after reading the customer reviews about...
I don't have time to read the rest of the responses and I actually came to learn rather than to educate but thanks for the mental stimulus and here I go. I can't account for static electricity or for faulty construction but it is commonly understood that DC electricity requires a closed loop...
I wonder if you have completed your system's upgrades. If you have 12-volt LED lighting, you might want a small MPPT charge controller with no display and just a couple off-the-shelf, group-29, FLA batteries. You could keep a small inverter on hand in case your large system has failed while you...
I can tell you that if I were to buy the same today that I bought from Signature Solar over a year ago, I would have another 5920 watts of panels and another 5000-watt inverter and spend $2600 as opposed to the $3500 I spent back then. I believe I got a great deal then and, if I choose to...

I explained to the salesperson that I want to be able to reach and maintain 55 mph for as much as 7/10 of a mile 10 times per week without harming the...
Based on the confusion I see in many, if not all of the answers, this sounds like the least complicated solution when using a generator. The components simply do their jobs without concerns of conflict. This gives the batteries a chance to smooth out some of the ripple in the waveform that might...
I finally went back to the OPs initial question and I agree with those who are saying that you cannot charge your batteries while they are in series. It's never been about the chemistry but about the electronics that are needed to balance LiFePo4 and Lithium Ion. This is why my car's 48-volt...
OMG! The solution is so simple. Just have 4 48-volt battery banks. Parallel 2 of them at a time to run the boat while the other two are charging. When they reach your cut-off voltage, swap them out. This eliminates the problem quite simply. You just need a couple switches.
