I'd like to build a simple battery box for a trolling motor w/ (2) purposes. For motor use & solar trickle charge. I'd like to leave the solar trickle charge plugged in. Would I need a switch to toggle between motor use & trickle charging ?
I want to avoid needing to open up the battery box to make connections. Therefore I am picturing a switch to toggle between the (2) functions. Or, should I plug the small solar panel in with a DC plug ? Seems simple enough but I cannot find quite this application & assembly.
