EG4 18k UC question

Greetings,
I'd like to power all the loads at my hobby farm *thru* the EG4 18k inverter. I'd like to avoid a complete reconfig of my panels (because its complicated) and instead connect the inverter between the service entrance and the main panel. Initially, I'd deploy a 12KWH PV kit which will not do the AC (sigh). Will this inverter pass grid power to loads when the PV can't keep up? (I'm not interested in backfeeding, ATM. I don't think I'll have surplus with this setup.)

@scottch Yes this inverter is designed to have AC input as well as PV input, if your PV is not capable of powering all of your loads the grid would assist in powering the rest.
