Hello, for my rooftop PV system I will have 2 series on the east side and 1 series on the west side of my roof. I've seen/heard of system that all have a dedicated, separate grounding wire for each series. I've also heard of people grounding the series together so there is only 1 ground needing to work through EMT conduit to the inverter.....any strong POVs out there either way?

"Ground" meaning frames of PV panels.
Not to be confused with positive or negative leads of PV strings (which are sometimes grounded inside inverter or SCC)

The frames may well be connected together by conduit and rails anyway. So one wire is fine.

Mine, I do have separate wire to each, rather than splicing somewhere that my conduit tees off. That is a bunch of ground mounts.

Yeah I don’t think I’m confusing positive and negative lines with grounds, but grounding everything into. Junction box that then goes into our attic so there is one ground for all series will save on some conduit costs. ?
