How tight do you do your MC4's?

I am making some PV wires with Staubli MC4's and 12awg PV wire.

How tight do you wrench the gland cap on? I did it as hard as I could hand tight and then like a quarter or half turn more with a wrench.

I use the plastic wrenches from my kit and tighten until they slip.
As long as the gland grips he wire it is fine.

My knockoff MC4s make a clicking sound when done (with plastic wrench)

I probably should've bought those plastic wrenches then lol. I'm using channel locks.
