Isn't this basically what the span smart load center purports to do?

I had to search it up. Rather interesting a whole house main panel replacement (smart panel -span?) designed to work with power walls batteries and the grid tie hybrid setups thus providing all kinds of automation. Bit pricey at the $3500 list for the likes of me but definitely a consideration for them folks in Cali that get that an hour working at Mickey D's

There are a couple of other ones out there. Solark markets one too. They can ensure that you don't have more loads than the available power. But youre right. Pricey. Cheaper to add another inverter or two in some cases
