I had an issue with my Solis inverter which ignored the Forcecharge setting and allowed the battery to drain to 3%. Their tech support upgraded the firmware, but have set the battery to charge from the grid full time (which is pointless) (note I don't have economy 7).
What I want is:
Batteries charge from PV excess over what I am using
No charge to battery from grid (unless force charge when battery low)
No discharge from battery to grid
I have a somewhat confusing message from Solis tech support about settings to support this (which was how it was set up by the original installer and had been fine for a year).
Do I have to set Self Use charge and discharge times or can they all be zero? It seems during charge time it pulls from the grid which I don't want.
Any advice appreciated
