For Low battery cut out there is a way to change how close to cut out you will get the warning. I just looked at insight local and did not see a way to change the high battery cut out warning. You might have to change the high battery cut out to 58.3 so you don't keep getting those warnings.
Here is the Fortress power UL9540A testing.
According to the paperwork they abuse the batteries with very high temperatures to see what will happen.
Having the right battery will definitely reduce your risk of fire...
UL 9540A is a battery certification for fire and thermal runaway
The manufacturer pays for fire related testing to get a battery system UL9540A certified
Most jurisdictions want UL9540A certifications for permitted installs
https://www.ul.com/services/ul-9540a-test-method
It's good to have the option to get a permit if needed someday. I see alot of people say they will never get a permit, but unfortunately sometimes the AHJ forces you to get a permit or tear out your system
Does anyone know if the 36.4" height is measured with the feet extended all the way out? Or is 36.4" with the feet all the way in? Maybe the feet could come off?
My roof height is limited
Your plan appears to match how Schneider explains the system to function in their webinars. The PDP is optional and you can wire straight into your load panel as you have explained. You will need a seperate battery combiner box, in the other webinar they say you can use a midnite solar battery...
How old is the generator?
The Honda EB 10000 that i looked at had a digital voltage regulator. It advertised holding the voltage to 1%
Maybe your voltage regulatory is bad?
Also what is your charge rate on the XW inverter?
In the webinar it shows a few different configurations, one shows using 2 PDP's and 4 XWs. I think the max number of XW per PDP is 3, so if you go to four XW it gets more complicated.
The screenshot you are showing looks like no PDP and a battery combiner with DC breakers installed in the...
My bad I thought the warning was 2 volts below hbco.
3 volts on a lithium battery is a big difference.
I guess I got lucky, my fortress battery is 55.2 volts for absorb charging and 58.5 hbco.
Hello
I am using a Schneider AGS with a XW Pro system. The AGS is connected to a diesel generator with a factory 2 wire auto start, this is wired using the type 14 wiring style as instructed in the AGS Manual.
I have programed the Gen warmup cycle to 300 seconds(5 minutes) on insight local.
The...
I have heard the Schneider charge controllers are sensitive to power surges.
(Possibly all Charge controllers are?)
They can come from lightning or from the system itself. Surge protectors are a smart investment.
Did you get an over voltage fault or warning?
If your generator handles a 8k watt load it sounds like the voltage regulator is doing its job. I have 2 XW pro with a 10k watt diesel generator and the wrong charger settings will bring the generator to its knees.
Have you watched to Schneider electric xw pro troubleshooting video?
It touches...
This model
Square D 600V DC Disconnect Switch - 60A, 3-Pole, NEMA 3R (HU362RB)
Has a bulletin that says you can switch 1 conductor with ground fault protection. The XW mppt 100 600 has ground fault Protection
The fans blow out the top of the inverter, make sure nothing is stored on top of the inverter. When the inverter is hot you should be able to feel the fan blowing the air out.
In my experience when the fields turn red, it is because I entered a number that is not acceptable by mistake. Somewhere in the Manual it lists all the acceptable data ranges for each individual section.
Double check your numbers and if you are confident they are right then try again.
What where...
Have you tried disconnecting them from pv and battery power for a while and reconnecting? Hopefully your using breakers and pv disconnects.
That is cold weather, there are Voc calculators to see what your open circuit voltage with your specific panel configuration could be at those temps.
My system is working great also, I upgraded from a older Magnum inverter so the technology took some reading and videos to understand, but I am very happy with my Schneider system.
I see some good deals on XW pro right now 👀
Expand everything in the ac2 settings to the widest range possible and see what happens, you can fine tune it if you get it to qualify.
What is your charge rate set to?
I'm not sure if the bonded neutral has a effect on qualifying, but it could be your problem that is why I asked.
My old Magnum 4448 inverter will take 120v power and output split phase 240v.
When the Magnum inverter is connected to a generator it is in Ac pass through mode, and can be charging the batteries at the same time or not.
The Magnum inverter will only supply as much as power as the generators...
I purchased my XW PRo from Zonna, through a installer, he got wholesale and marked it up a little, I liked that they repair inverters, that is a good resource to have.
My second choice was NAZ
This was the deal that I saw, very tempting
I agree they aren't the same, a fully charged compressor will take alot of juice to start.
Im my experience cutting bigger dimension wood with a saw can create friction and the spin up doesn't really matter, especially if you cut through a knot.
When you hear the saw bog down you are pulling max...
Hello
What do you all think about running mini split linesets inside the walls for new construction?
I am about to do insulation and sheetrock and I am kicking around the idea of putting the linesets inside the wall.
I could put them on the outside of the wall later but then I will have the trim...
Since the BCS is designed to work on AC1, you will have a hard time getting most generators to qualify power.
Ac2 is designed for generator power.
I heard Schneider is working on a firmware update to address this
