2-DC House 51.2v 50ah batteries on the way. 4-for the main cabin (Eco-Worthy), 2-for the bunkhouse (DC House) Time to stop, but couldn't resist the price.
I just returned from the cabin and thought I would run our cabin off of our bunkhouse system to see if a Victron 1200 24 and 100 amp hour NIFE battery system could run our cabin for the afternoon and evening.
Well, it did surprisingly good, ran the well pump which showed 1030 watt on the power...
Yes, have been since well drilled, 7-8 years ago. It is a very easy load to drive. Wish I would have went with the 120 volt model. We have the 240 volt model and used an auto transformer but it was a parasitic load, I now have it on the load side of the pressure switch and that works fine.
The YT review is done by Vlad F K . It is about a 30 minute review. He matches it up with a Go Power inverter.
Tom will your inverter hold the 1100 watt load for 3 minutes?
Thanks for doing the test.
Thanks, I also contacted Exeltech and they said a $100 flat rate repair, no charge for if it cannot be repaired, so I may take that route as an interim and to have a spare after I decide which inverter to go with.
I have FLA and NIFE, a couple of things I would add. I don't have to worry about the SOC of the NIFE when I leave the cabin Sunday evening, with FLA I was running the generator if the weather and sun did not look good for the coming week to prevent sulfation.
As far as maintenance, they both...
That would be correct Brucey, but its what I have to work with.
It would be nice if a load test could be performed on a 1200.
There is a YT video of a guy testing his with not the best results, barely able to do 1000 watts.
A quick glance at the NEC, article 350.12 Uses not permitted, LFMC shall not be used where subject to physical damage.
I guess the AHJ decides that?
We typically use it for flexibility at motors for ease of replacement.
I am new to these AIO inverters but experienced the same problem with a SRNE AIO clone. I had a non inverter type generator powering the AC input and the frequency varied between 59-60hz and the AIO would not recognize that input. I then connected a inverter type generator and it showed a...
Quick update, Received Exeltech xp 1100 inverter back and installed it and all works great. Measured the idle consumption with a Fluke volt meter and Fluke DC clamp meter and came up with 11 watts, pretty good compared to my Trace 2512 which is about 20 watts. Received Pricing, MSRP from...
Quick follow up on the Keurig coffee maker on the Victron 24 1200. 90% SOC 100 ah NIFE battery @ 27.4 volts sags to 22.9 volts with a 1290 watt load according to my Kila-watt meter, 4awg wire 5 feet or less between battery and inverter.
Inverter shuts down after a short time, stays off a bit...
Our loads are very light, usually about 1000 watt hrs from dusk till dawn. Largest load that cycles is well pump (Grundfos SQ series) and microwave.
Other than that, lights and TV, all large loads on propane.
It seems like the one I have is very fussy about line frequency, was wondering if there...
You can contact Exeltech and they will ship you a kit for about $30. It consists of a section of heat shrink and a ferrite rod that you attach across the output? inductor. They will send detailed instructions as well.
They also have a option 20 transfer switch so you can use grid or generator...
I know this is an old post, tried to find manual online, no luck, but led me to this post.
So I dug up my manual as I use this to run my well pump. Here is the specifications from the manual.
