New Growatt hybrid inverter SPH10000TL- HU-US split phase

Self2Solar has them listed for preorder, website says arriving mid May. See link below.

Thanks for posting it. I had been looking on/off to see when they get listed various places.

Spec sheet:

Intro slide deck:

User manual:

Certs:

It looks pretty nice. The intro slide deck is moderately informative, not just all fluff.

It has me wondering if I should proceed with the Amensolar N3H-X10-US I have nominally selected, or wait for this to be available. Those two units seems like the leading choices in the sub $3K, 10 KW AC, IP 65, split phase inverter market.

Ah, the perfection of non existence...

Growatt can ac couple and can work based on either battery voltage or bms comms

On Alibaba with a few listings, a typical one:

$1528 plus $340 for shipping, $1868 total, delivery mid June.

There are small inconsistencies with the listing, like the part number lacking "US", and under "certificates", they don't list the US required ones. You would just like those niggly details to be right so you know what you are ordering.

The hu us is split phase
The hu is for Europe and much cheaper. Don't order that one

Then, this one?

$1450 plus $82 for shipping.

Or this one?

$1528 plus $340 for shipping.

Both list the model as the "US" one.

None of the listings are exactly consistent, such as videos of the wrong inverter, certs not being US applicable, etc. Who knows what you would get.

The same company also has it for sale for $768 🤣

Anyone know if Growatts are still Voltronic units or did they go with another designer/manufacturer?

Where have you seen that growatt was voltronics based?
I could have sworn they were both Voltronic units based on slightly different designs.
Here is one statement although unverified about that : Statement 1 , Statement 2 I' Here is one statement from @Steve_S " You are correct that GroWatt & MPP come from the same factory BUT GroWatt is a VAR and the OEM products are made to their specifications which comply with European & North American Standards and are certified for such. Generally, these have some improved componentry (higher quality) and few extras which are not included in the MPP." It's possible all this is hearsay of course. But I thought that was common knowledge.

It seems to be all conjecture

I was INVOKED for a ? Pissing Contest ? Seriously ?
The FACT is that companies like Growatt are both OEM's & VARS do produce stuff in-house BUT they also subcontract a lot out to the Big Production houses like SRNE, Voltronic because in realty it is the most cost-efficient way to go. I'd wager that "some" of you have no clue about Growatt Commercial & what they are involved in...

Simply put, just run out and buy a "MADE IN USA" product and NOT a "Assembled in USA product" (using parts from who knows where) and be happy with that.

Honestly, an AIO is a Convenient Solution but that does not mean Optimal - it IS a set of compromises.

Not a pissing contest, just asked the question out of curiosity. I just make a thing now to avoid Voltronic inverters after the MPP LVX debacle.

Blaming an OEM who makes a device to a VAR's specs is not quite right, seriously.
Example, DeWalt & Black & Decker power tools are made in the Same Factory in China. Both tools are designed & engineered in Texas and the OEM who makes follows the design & spec as provided per contract. Now we all know that DeWalt tools are pretty good (built my home & everything else with them) but that the same Black & Decker tools today are CRAP ! (Not like the Good Ol Days)... so WHO do you blame for that ?

Midnite Solar "DIY" series & New AIO are also made in China to THEIR SPECS and they are using SNRE OEM I believe for the lot. I certainly would not hesitant buying Midnite Gear regardless where it's made. Qualifier: Only after 1 year is Real World Service (like any new product) so it's "debugged".

Simply put, if you buy a $500 Inverter, that's what you get, if you buy a $1500 Inverter you get quite another beast. (Of course being different brands.) IE: I can easily get a Yoyen 4000W Inverter for $800 USD, it's basic, simple, works not much bells & whistles, and "maybe" 85% efficient. But I use a Samlex EVO 4000W and it's 2K USD and is Tier-1 Feature & Function LOADED and 95% Efficient !

Robyn & Halfcrazy ARE Midnite Solar - conjecture indeed. Get a Grip. Mr #### from Texass
And where did they say their new aio is made by srne?

That's how rumors spread and why people think growatt is made by voltronics.
