My Seplos kit arrived last week and I've put it all together with some Xuba 280ah cells. I thought I would give some insight and some pictures as to the process and what I found.
Firstly the cells came first, they were from Xuba and cost $2112 USD delivered and duty paid to the UK. These were...
They've corrected that now. They added a video to their facebook showing they are now putting everything inside foam and into a box. So I cant see any issues on that front anymore. And yes, super buff
Yes there is. It's not in the kit. Nor is there a guide on where to find it. I had to ask Seplos and look at YouTube. It would be easy to throw one in or at least a link to where it could be found
I got a £12 one from Lidl. Its just a bit of wood on wheels. If you can guy some castor wheels from a shop you could make your own in about 5 mins. Honestly, I'd put the data cabinet on top of the Seplos. I think it could potentially survive a nuclear war given its construction.
That's correct. I'm not sure if it's the right thing or not. I share your concerns. That said the bus bar is aluminium, not copper which has been plated. I'm not sure on the reason from Seplos, it isn't explained in any way.
My old BMS is 48200-1101-10C-SP16-16S
No idea on what was actually wrong. After all the troubleshooting with technical support they concluded it was a dud board and sent out at the latest model 48200-1101-10E-SP76-16S
I set the capacity to 280ah this morning at 100% charge. So that should be sorted now. I think my issue came from the fact I had to swap the BMS as the old one had a fault. When I did that I just swapped out without fully charging/discharging the cells first time round. So it probably messed up...
You'll find that it's not charging it at all after that point - I have the same inverter. It just won't discharge until 4.31am. have you logged into Solarman to check the charging/discharge numbers? Looks like the battery charge current drops away
Also do I really need to connect to the BMS to use it? Or can I just use as is? I get people want to see what's happening a tweak settings. But is it really needed?
This is what worked for me. I had to buy the adaptor from Amazon and I reused an old Ethernet. I can now connect. Any advice on BMS settings would be appreciated.
Can anyone help me out here? Having the same issue. I bought the Mason DIY pack and its not connecting via an RJ45 adaptor. I know the adaptor works as I've used it my Pylontechs in the past. I just get the "Time Out" issue
So I need to build a new cable. According to Seplos my cable that works with Pylontech won't work with their BMS... The connector will arrive tomorrow then I'll make my own Ethernet out with the right pins. Hassle
After a few days of logging I managed to pull a big file and chart the data. This is a full day from normal running, discharge and charge cycle. I can see some differences in the cells - but at those voltages they are basically fully empty anyway.
