SUNGOLD 10KW 48V SPLIT PHASE SOLAR INVERTER

"
Restart the inverter after restoring the factory settings (disconnect the mains, PV and batteries, reconnect the batteries after 5 minutes and switch the inverter on)

Restored to factory settings:
only power on the machine via battery, Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds , A flashing box will appear at the screen ,and will have tick tock, then shut off the machine, and reboot the machine."
On my ECO5000 I tried the UP/DOWN thing with only battery connected a few times but nothing happened. Then I shut it down for 30 minutes. Then battery, then inverter. After it came up I held down the UP/DOWN. Then checked the parameters and indeed they got reset! Everything is now connected and with the PV1ST setting the PV provides all the load power.

Glad it was helpful and great first post leaving more information to help others.

So I am headed to the SunGold lab in Orange County California with my inverter. They wanted me to ship it but it would cost much more to ship.

The inverter is most definitely fried. After following their instructions to check the inverter smoked. It’s a bit of a waste of time for everyone but I guess that’s what I have to do.

Are you going to:

SunGoldPower Co.,Ltd
23831 Via Fabricante, Unit 302
Mission Viejo, CA 92691
9496789741

Or to one of their electronic servicers?

Please document this process and take pictures etc. Youre in new territory for us and Sungold Power.
Looking forward to your posts.

I picked it up from the Sungold Power distributer here in California. They claimed they "repaired it" but when I took it home and wired (mind you, I believe whole heartedly that it is wired correctly) it worked but only with PV power. The inverter was not able to use power from the Main Line but it reads the voltage, just no arrow indicator that it's using it. When the sun goes down it bleeds out the battery and becomes useless. I emailed them once again, waiting to hear back. I think they repaired the wrong problem. Anyone have any experience with this? I was guessing maybe it was the breaker on the unit but how would it be able to read the voltage if so? thx

They didn’t replace both boards it sounds like, just your inverter board… this is the same thing that happened to the user I mentioned above on YouTube jeez… where to start………

Yea I remembered you saying that and now I'm going back to watch his videos. Do you remember the name of the second board? watching now. thx
