Sol-Ark new optimizer

Really?
In fact, they seem to have actually disappeared from Sol-Ark's website.
This link:
View attachment 213387
Not longer appears on the "Products" page (but can be found on archive.org)
And the URL of the "Learn More" link (https://www.sol-ark.com/optimizers/) just redirects to the main product page.
I heard these are definitely coming out.
It is possible that they are just making a new product webpage for them and it has not been uploaded yet.
The Smart Loads panel seems to be put on hold due to some major redesigns that are being done.

Sol-Ark does not release anything unless it's just about a 100% fully done product. That may frustrate some people but for me it's a refreshing reversal on the current trend which is to release stuff and then have the public Beta test it. In some cases it's more like Alpha testing!

Recently I watched a webinar by a battery manufacturer featuring the 15K. They had a Sol-Ark rep to speak for the 15K. A question came up about when the optimizers would be available. The answer was Sol-Ark will leave the optimizers as a 3rd party product.

When I was trying not to buy Tigo optimizers I looked into this and found what I think was the company that was making the Sol-Ark O900's because they had their own optimizers with exactly the same product photo as the Sol-Ark ones. But the product links were broken and you couldn't buy them.

I just checked back with their website and the product links have returned. https://enteligent.com/collections/solar-mlpe-products ... It's still not clear whether you can buy them or not.

I've bought my Tigo's unfortunately because I had to get my project moving and it's been a ride alright.

Sorry, just a bit bitter following a project originally announced in 2023(?) still not out, especially considering that they announced release dates, and then kept moving them.

I'm all for only releasing a product when it is ready. But continuously shifting release dates sucks.
I'm sure they are intending to release them. They have hardware for talking to them in the 15k. But don't hold your breath.

According this article, the "Sol-Ark" optimizers are branded versions of the enteligent units: https://solarmagazine.com/2023/09/sol-ark-selects-enteligent-rsd-with-optimization-for-0900-80v/
And no, those don't appear to be available for sale, either because they need to be customized for the inverter they are communicating with, or because there is something wrong with them (which would explain the delay on the Sol-Ark parts)

I also was really hoping for the Sol-Ark units and ended up going with Tigos. I hated the idea of using their crappy cloud.
Luckily there are resources to take control of the Tigo CCA and get the data from it directly:

No my buddy at Sol-Ark is using the Optimizers with a 15K at his home and he says they work perfectly.
I just Texted him and he says the Webpage is down because they are redoing it for the official release.
The new 15K inverters have the Interface board built in, my Installer has already got them but I have not personally seen it yet. The older 15Ks require that a small board be swapped or added.

No problem, I stopped getting excited about Sol-Ark release dates when the whole MySolArk thing kept dragging on.
As I was told recently, they will release it when it's done and not a day before that. The owner seems to be very worried about any half baked products with the name Sol-Ark being released to the Public.

This board?

The problem is the world is moving quicker than they are and they will get left behind if they don't get their feces together.

Nope in this case I disagree.
With most things "Yes" but when it comes to powering peoples homes the one word they want to hear the most is reliability. It's also the main thing Installers care about as they do most of the equipment recommendations and therefore have to deal with the free service calls if the stuff is not working properly.
In any case Sol-Ark is not really "behind" anybody and we have no idea what they are working on for the future.
The future is supposed to be mostly about Commercial system, well they already got that covered.

Midnight Solar will give them a run for the money, but I don't see any others. EG4 has questionable support and the only UL9540 batteries they're listed with are EG4.

Yup. I activated that as soon as I got my CCA up and running. Still bitter about the whole thing. The amount of useful information that is available there that Tigo refuses to give us access to (and it's OUR DATA!) is mind boggling. So frustrating because in order to understand what's going on you need to file a support ticket and then unbeknownst to you, someone reaches in remotely and does something without telling you and suddenly it's fixed but they won't tell you what they did.

That along with the melting TS4's and I hope they finally go out of business.

Oh, my mistake then. I had searched these and I saw a bunch of "get it by May 25th" dates on orders on multiple various websites so I thought they'd been released. I'm tired of waiting though. You guys say the Tigo optimizers work fine with your inverters? I have a 12k myself.

Yes. They work fine (enough). Their cloud interface is kind of clunky but if you don't really care about monitoring what each panel is doing in realtime and are happy finding out what happened the day before then they're fine. Wiring up the RSD to the Sol-Ark is also ever so slightly more complicated than connecting a couple wires, but if you DIY'd your solar setup, then you'll do fine.

I can confirm that the Webpage is down because they are updating it.
