Are you getting any alarms on the Seplos?

The BMS should turn it off at 100% charge as should the inverter. Perhaps it's going into absorption mode?

You'll find that it's not charging it at all after that point - I have the same inverter. It just won't discharge until 4.31am. have you logged into Solarman to check the charging/discharge numbers? Looks like the battery charge current drops away

I set the capacity to 280ah this morning at 100% charge. So that should be sorted now. I think my issue came from the fact I had to swap the BMS as the old one had a fault. When I did that I just swapped out without fully charging/discharging the cells first time round. So it probably messed up...

Battery level hasn't adjusted, so I'll have to do it in the morning to set the capacity. You cannot set it at the bottom without the SOC being messed up

I imagine it'll be battery capacity, as Rated should be the one you fill in yourself e.g. 280Ah and then it'll give you its actual capacity afterwards so 287Ah or 270Ah or something

Battery monitor 2.1.9 is only for the new model BMS. Don't use it on the older ones or it won't work.

thats a go thats a good point. I am not getting the high alarm, its dropping out before fully charged. What's weird is the cells are 280ah cells - they should be getting fully charged given they are charging at 65A for 5hrs

After a few days of logging I managed to pull a big file and chart the data. This is a full day from normal running, discharge and charge cycle. I can see some differences in the cells - but at those voltages they are basically fully empty anyway.

There is a function on the BMS to set it to speak to the sofar inverter correctly.

Have you cycled the battery on and off? Have you set the battery setting on 2.1.9 to Sofar?

Yeah disconnect the mains first. Then turn off the battery. After a few seconds the inverter should turn off. Then restart the battery, it'll come on. Then turn the mains back on. It'll say "wait 60" and count down to 0. Then you're good to go.

I have that inverter. Go into the battery settings (code 0715) and just raise the charge/discharge amps. You can charge at 65A and discharge at 70A. If it doesn't work you can power cycle the inverter and it should work

Battery is reconnected. Changed the cable and restarted the BMS. Now logging in real time. Hopefully I'll have the log tomorrow

Annoyingly I can't seem to connect to the BMS at the moment. My son's scooter was squashed up against the cable so I think it might have got damaged. I'll have to replace the end tomorrow with a new one and see if that works

No I didn't. Annoyingly the laptop I had connected went to sleep. Not sure why as I set it to stay on - will give it another go this evening

So I decided the safest option was to set the cell size to 320ah and give the charging an extra hour. It charged to 98% (of what it thought was it's capacity) before the BMS shut it down. Now it's discharging. So I'll find out later how it gets on. Hopefully a full charge will help it square...

So do you think it's worth trying @brums idea and setting it to 300ah+? Tricking both the BMS and the inverter to fully charge?

No it's been down to 15%. This is why I am just flagging it now, as it's a new thing

I'll have to investigate. I'm not sure what would happen if I pulled the Comms cable. I'll try to charge tomorrow without it and see what happens!

I'm running a Sofar ME3000SP. I could maybe pull out the comms cable? I don't have a 60V charger

It's been running for a few months charging at night up to 100%. That's why I want to check settings to make sure nothing is wrong or incorrect

Thanks for answering. Yes I top balanced. I didn't check the capacity, but the supplier was reputable and I've had cells which have been tested at 100% capacity from the same seller. Lowest cell is 2.8V which is what's confusing me. Voltage difference has run quite high though. I'm wondering...

Hi all. Can anyone recommend the best settings for 280ah, 200A BMS. My cells stop discharging at 24% at the moment. I'm getting the Monomer Low Pressure Alarm. Any ideas?
