I reached out to dexter earlier in the week about some of his batteries. He immediately responded and said he would have one of his guys reach out to me. Jason called me, answered my questions and he put together a quote based on which batteries he thought would work the best for me. The next...
I understand. I to own a business. Not a big business but I handle every call myself. I refuse to get any bigger to a point where I have to pay someone to handle my calls. An hourly employee is there to make 8 hours and go home.
Well here's another update. Batteries have been sent back. 1 was shipped one day, 2 was shipped the next business day. They have received the first battery. The other two batteries were received but they don't know who Stacy King is. The first battery was received week before last, the other two...
Thank you
Yes my wife and I are building it. The picture you see is from yesterday. It has been 6 weeks since we poured the slab. We milled our lumber also.
I haven’t gotten a phone call today. Travis SS message and said he would have Weston call me. Well here it is 1830 hours and nothing yet.
I have went with current connected.
I want to be clear that the safety thing came from SS not EG4. EG4 engineer said it was a safe and good battery.
Nothing hooked up to a battery, touching a metal terminal arcing. Negative not connected. Positive wire not connected to anyth and it arcs when touching the positive to put The...
Thanks Tim, I did see that. So if for example we get over a week of rain every day, as we have had for the past 8-9 days, then I can change that same setting to charging with the AC input to keep batteries topped off. Once we get clear days, switch it back to solar only. Does that sound right?
I have completed the install. I will try to post some pictures of it. I ran each of my series to my combiner box. I mounted My combiner box under my eave on the outside of where I put my AIO. My combiner box has fuses in it. I didn't put any additional fuses or anything. The run from panels to...
So I was able to pick up 20 250 watt panels yesterday. I think I have narrowed it down to the growatt 6k split system or two 3k systems that are expandable. What are your thoughts? I figured if 6k isn't enough, I'll have the back up county grid hooked into it.
I think it’s a good company. They have the ability to make a lot of money on people like us. However they have some weak links in the chain and anyone who has been part of a team knows the team is only as strong as the weakest link.
This has got to be the worst company I have dealt with.
I received my batteries around the 18th of December. I couldn’t get them to work on my Growatt. I contact SS for them to tell me that the 48v EG4 waterproof batteries are dangerous, doesn’t recommend using them with my Growatt system. Tech...
If I fully charged my existing batteries, disconnect them, hook up the diy batteries cycle them for a week and fully charge them, then parallel them? This would be ok?
48v 390ah lead acid,
Not undersized. I have had the the wrong amp settings. I was way under amperage.
I have 4500 watts of panels. I run around 300 watts usually. If my window ac is on it goes to about 1100-1200 watts. The AC is only during the day.
So I spoke to Ian and he told me it was my batteries. However they're only a couple months old. I spoke to growatt and they told me to do a update on the unit.
Well I did the update alright.. here I am sitting in the dark and my unit won't power up. It has a red fault light and nothing else.
I bought these batteries from @SignatureSolarJess a couple weeks back. I have had nothing but issues with these things. SS is returning them etc.
However I was just looking at the side of the batteries and noticed in the corner it says li-ion. Why?
Also none of the CV or float voltage they...
Sam is correct, use a a third for tie breaker. Or if you have a wall socket that you know is around 120v, then you can see what that is reading. This would save you from having to get another multimeter.
