Ok thanks Jason that’s what I thought..guess I will go with an outback.
Sorry for any confusion. I try not to post when falling asleep or just waking up?
Nominal DC input voltage is 48vdc
High DC Recovery voltage is 56.4vdc
Max PV array open circuit voltage 145Vdc
Is that the numbers you are looking for?
I guess because of my incorrect wiring the voltage was too low and my Growatt was showing 0 watts for PV.
I will re wire my panels tomorrow and see how it goes. Thank you again MBR
Batteries are brand new from battleborn. When I look at the Growatt display panels and go down to PV it says 0 watts.
I am trying to run a dehumidifier but it’s not connected cause I figured it will just drain the batteries.
Just to get my feet wet with solar and with future hopes of expansion I plan to get a 48v system and primarily run a dehumidifier in my basement.
My dehumidifier runs usually about 40 watts but when the compressor or whatever spins up it uses just under 500 watts and I'll find some other...
Scientific guess why not but does anyone have any recommendations for mini splits?
I saw another chat about Senville, Carrier has a 42 seer, and HotSpot has an all DC mini split...all seem like they might have certain advantages. My needs are for like ten degrees of more heat and...
Thanks Kernel but I am using S5 PV Kit with PV Discs on my standing seam metal roof which I understood to ground the panels. Please let me know if I am mistaken and thanks again
Full sun has passed as it is almost 6 here but I measured 3 panels.
I set my multimeter to 200v and got two panels to read 33 and one panel 28. Does it sound like those three panels are functional?
Thank you for the help
Sparky I show a max charging current of 120amps. I am not sure if that is what you are looking for.
I did run the growatt with the panels in direct sun for an hou today. At which point I got a warning light 4 and beeping.Which according to the manual is lower battery. How can I get my panels...
Energy stores in the batteries. I am considering buying MPP Solar but I am considered about the high idle consumption.
I assume at night or on cloudy days and I if I turn off the. MPP Solar I will be unable to access any power from the batteries. Am I correct or way off?
My refrigerator is a high efficiency fridge. That being said I am trying to determine its average energy use.
The notes in side the fridge doesn’t list it’s electric use. It does list info about amps and bolts and when I multiply the amp x volts I get 600 watts.
When I use a killawat...
I think Delmar is saying he would prefer to see more of confirmation. Even so how would I test this? Maybe I should do some googling but would Will really post or recommend a product that isn't legitimate?
Thanks for the numbers Boris I have 5 panels on my roof now but still trying to get at least 1 more. That will give me max 1500 watts. I have up to 12 panels or 3000 watts but my house is south east facing with a large chimney so I am struggling with placement of panels. Thanks again
Thanks Guys,
I am having problems with any watts being generated by PV
I have an off grid solar inverter SPF 3000TL LVM
I show a Max AC Input Voltage of 150Vac
Nominal Input Voltage of 120Vac
Solar Panel Specifications:
Rated Power: 250W
Open circuit voltage (VOC): 37.6 V
Max power voltage...
I am back from the past . Less one two hundred year old silver maple so my panels are getting more direct sun. Even as we head to the winter solstice in less than a month can you guy help me get my system working ?
I do not believe my batteries are full. I ran my dehumidifier for an hour at which point I received warning 4 on my growatt
The growatt shows 0 for PV watts despite getting this kinda sun
Not sure what pictures of the wiring you are looking for.
My panels off to the left are connected to the panels to the right by a 15 ft wire that goes to MC4 that then goes 20+ft to the basement to my growatt
Do you think I might be losing all my voltage there?
I have received the 48v GrowWatt all in one, two 24v Battle Born Batteries, all the wiring suggested by Will but I am waiting for 12 used solar panels that should be delivered next week.
For wiring my solar panels should I run the wire through flexible conduit or just when leaving the panels...
